  1. A Tale of a New Law

by , 07-09-2011 at 10:37 AM (Tampa Divorce Attorney)
Once upon a time, our wise and knowledgeable lawmakers gathered together to discuss a problem. After many learned-intelligent people discussed the problem and potential solutions, a new law was passed. That new law would apply common sense, give people guidance, correct previous problems, and prevent future problems. And because so many smart people had a hand in the new law, it had to be just, even handed, and correct.

  2. My practice sometimes revolves around Oxycodone

by , 11-09-2010 at 06:50 PM (Tampa Divorce Attorney)
This year, more than ever, I see and hear families and children deeply affected by Oxycodone addiction. In case after case, consult after consult, I hear familiar words: Oxycodone, Oxycontin, Roxycodone, Roxanol, Xanax, and you name it. This is an epidemic and it is causing a tidal wave of disruption in families. It is a seriously scary thing when one in five of my consults involves one of these drugs. Someone has to do something. The parties are nervous. And the attorneys get a chance to think on their feet. It is a perfect storm of conditions that come together to create ...

  5. Parent almost home free - then blows it

by , 06-27-2010 at 08:40 AM (Tampa Divorce Attorney)
I am completely amazed at how some people destroy themselves, almost on purpose. I call it "snatching defeat from the jaws of victory."

Visualize this picture: being caught up in a high conflict custody case. Everyone is making wild accusations. There have been many, many visits to court. But through it all it is becoming apparent that one parent is coming out on top - despite recent problems. All that parent needs to do is the following: not disappear, be polite to ...
