    Post Telephone Appearance

My ex has brought me back to court for enforcement of mediation agreement. I have complied with the things that are said I didn't. Now she wants to appear by telephone because she lives out of state. I have objected to this and now we have another hearing. What are my odds of this objection going my way? I want her to come here because she is doing this for simple harrasment and I have proof of that. I don't want to seem petty to the judgeicon, yet I want her here to face the judge as well.

Many thanks for what you do here.

Telephone hearings are at the discretion of the judgeicon. Some have a blanket policy of no telephone hearings if the hearing is more than 15 minutes.

If you are in the wrong - I suggest you allow the telephone appearance. If you are in the right - go ahead and fight it.

Do you know of any statute that covers phone appearance?

There is no actual statute that covers this issue. It is covered under the general rule that judges have discretion to control the flow of cases.
