Telephone Appearance

My ex has brought me back to court for enforcement of mediation agreement. I have complied with the things that are said I didn't. Now she wants to appear by telephone because she lives out of state. I have objected to this and now we have another hearing. What are my odds of this objection going my way? I want her to come here because she is doing this for simple harrasment and I have proof of that. I don't want to seem petty to the judge, yet I want her here to face the judge as well.

Telephone hearings are at the discretion of the judge. Some have a blanket policy of no telephone hearings if the hearing is more than 15 minutes.

If you are in the wrong - I suggest you allow the telephone appearance. If you are in the right - go ahead and fight it.

There is no actual statute that covers this issue. It is covered under the general rule that judges have discretion to control the flow of cases.
