    Default Maximum Alimony?

I have been told by attorneys that the maximum amount of alimonyicon that one can receive should never go beyond equalizing income of the two parties. My question is if child supporticon + alimony from the husband causes the husband to earn $8,000-$16,000 (my wife gets overtime so her income fluctuates) per year less than the wife legitimate in the eyes of a judgeicon? She wants $1350/month alimony and child support is $614.00 We have been married 22 years and she made 70K last year and I made 100K. Thanks.

Given the two incomes - I am not so sure this is an alimonyicon case.

If the husband will be paying child supporticon - I do not believe any amount of alimony would be appropriate.
