Timeshare, child support question
So as of Oct.1st, the new "timeshare" terminology is now in effect. My question is, if the time share is 50/50 then what affect does that have on the amount of child support
to be paid to either party based on the florida childsupport regulations? Also, what are some of the most overlooked issues that need to be listed in the divorce to protect my child and myself from future litigation? Thank You for any advice and tips on helping this go smoothly.

New Time-sharing terminology
The new terminology does not create the presumption for 50/50 custody. The best interest of the child standard still applies. With that said, if the court does award 50/50, or the parents agree to 50/50, then child support
will be reduced greatly - and depending on the incomes, possibly to zero.
Many overlooked issues are failing to factor in daycare expenses, costs for extracurricluar activities and child dependency exemptions. How to protect yourself from future litigation is factually based and could only be correctly answered in a consultation. However, a parent can always seek modification
of any issue related to the child(ren).
