    Default Married NON-US citizen

OK, SO i married a girl whom i thought i loved and loved me back.
we have only lived with each other i total time of 1.5 years and been married 4 years she never took my last name because she said hers is "cool and she likes hers better" so now im stuck because she threatens to take everything if i divorce her. i guess thank god i didn't have a kid with her. so now im stuck for another 1.5 years till she becomes a LEGAL citizen and not a resident.
Can I do anything to get out of this NOW? because im moven out of state and i wanna leave a free man.

In a four year marriage you definitely will not lose everything. Why do you think you must wait 1.5 years????

You need to consult with an attorney. Because you are operating with the wrong info.

Well she becomes a legal citizen in 1.5 years and if i try to get a divorce she will try to "nail me to the wall". she said she will claim she paid me to marry her and a lot of other stuff. She might of married for a card but i married for love. I just want out.

You may want to consult with an immigration attorney to make sure there will be no allegation of fraud.

But from the divorce angle - you are ready to file. If you filed an "Affidavit of Support", there may be a temporary alimonyicon issue. But I have not seen one of those stick.

This is something you should discuss with us privately.

On our rates: it is better not to scare you at this stage Plus, there are many lower cost fee arrangements possible for most cases.
