Unhappy Have Temporary Custody of child

I have custody of my 4yr old son. He has lived with me for about 2yrs. I have not requested paternity rights through the courts but did a court approved DNA test. I would like to make this permanantly so she can't come take him back especially since she's never did anything for him including the time she had him. What are my steps on gaining custody and my chances as I am the primary care giver and only working parent.(Not Married)

you will have to file a paternity suit with the courts. This will court order the parentingicon time with each parent and protect you from your fears of the mother taking the child

You should file a paternity action - as the child has been living with you for about 2 years and you are solely responsible for his well-being you have a strong case to ask the court for majority time and residential parent status (there is no longer primary or secondary language in the Florida Statutes).
