Default Has missed two months of support?

Hi I live in Jacksonville Florida , my ex was paying regular for several years until November 2009 and now has stop.He says he has lost his job and currently fighting to get back, he also lives in Portland, Oregon. His last apyment was in December 2009 but not for the amount, what will the state do now? He told me he will contact the child supporticon and inform them what's going on, but clearly he hasnt done that, I've been following him on facebook since he's job lost and he post every couple of hour's all day.He doesnt seem interested in solving this problem, I did contact someone from where I receive the money and inform them what going on. How long does the action if there is one going to take? and what will they do? I don't want to see him jail ,but I do need assistance or help with my girl's.

If your ex is behind in his child supporticon payments then you should let Department of Revenue know (which it appears you have already done). They keep track of the payments (so long as the payments are through the State Disbursement Unit and not paid directly to you) and will likely suspend his driver's license if he does not become current. The agency has powers across state lines. If he is supposed to pay you directly you might need to file a Rule to Show Cause or Motion for Contempt in your underlying case.
