    Default Child Support Modification

My divorce was final 3 years ago. My son was 15 at the time. He moved to California with his mother and I have paid support since. She called me two weeks ago and said she could no longer handle him. He is now 17 1/2 and has moved to Florida. He now has a job here and is living with me full time. I would like to modify support to stop paying her and stop the deductions. Is this a compilcated task or something I can do somewhat easily ?

If you are paying her directly, a simple joint agreement will do.

If you are paying through the Florida State Disbursement Unit it gets more complex. You would probably want a lawyer if this is the case. Because the agreement would have to be run through the court for a judgeicon's signature.

    Default Ending child support

I have a son who's turning 18 in March and a divorce agreement which does not specify and end date for child supporticon. Can I discontinue my payments at the end of his birthday month or do I have to continue them until he graduates from high school in May?
