Default Need a divorce...no cooperation from other.

    Hello,
Thank you for taking a moment to examine my situation. I was just married to a woman this past August and she decided that marriage was not for her in September. We have never lived together and she has changed her phone number and blocked my e-mail and other media outlets. I have given her no reason to do so, but she said that it makes things easier for her (that is fine). At any rate, I recently contacted her via a secondary e-mail address and suggested that we discuss and exchange necessary information for our taxes and to process a divorce, to which her response was: I made a mistake and want to forget we were ever married, fill out your paperwork yourself and file for abandonment...do not contact me again. As you can see, she is quite a peach and unbelievably 39 years old. I went to the Citrus County Clerks office today and picked up a dissolution of marriage w/no property and w/no children (uncontested) package, based upon the suggestion of the young lady who helped me. Is this the course of action that I should be perusing? We have not shared a home, expenses, entered any financial agreements together and we do not have any children. Basically, we have no ties and she refuses to have contact me. Thank you in advance for your help.

Yes, you have the correct sounding package.

In Florida, it is the sole right of either spouse to get a divorce. So in the end, your conundrum should be solved.
