    Unhappy Lost in the law!

Hi, I am a 24 year old woman who was married in 2007, in which case we had a daughter together. By the time she was a year old he decided it wasn't working. So we decided to separate. It has now been 2 years and we have both moved on. I went to the court house and bought the divorce papers needed and he would not agree to sign it. Now a year later I am stuck with no money for the divorce. Is there any way that it can be split or anything? Please help I have tried every where with nothing but voice operation systems with no answers. Thank you so much.

You will have to have your husband served with a petition for dissolution of marriage. You will file it along with a civil cover sheet, and a summons. You will then take a copy to the sheriff to have him served. Once he is served, he will have 20 days to respond.

You can also contact our office and we can help you with your paperwork to begin your divorce.

    Sincerely,
