    Default Hopes of Marriage

My fiance' currently pays alimonyicon to his ex-wife. This is his 3rd year paying. Once he remarries do you know what ramifications affects me if any? I'm very unfamiliar with alimony laws in Florida, so I didn't know if I would also be on the hook for payment if we marry and he is suddenly out of a job, does payment stop when we marry and starts a family, or does payment stop when the ex-wife remarries?

Any light you can shed on the subject would be great. Thanks

Your income is mostly irrelevant. Your will not create an obligation if you marry.

Payments normally stop if the ex remarries - but that depends on the language of the final judgment. If he is out of a job, he needs to go back to court and file for modificationicon.
