hi, im a mother of two childeren and a victim of domestic violence. i have have verbal threats and have been hit in the past my my husband. earlier this week i filed for divorce. I took the paperwork to a process server to have him served 3 days ago however, i am sincerly concerned that he will not except them due to the papers being served at his mothers home which he used to live. I am not sure if he still stays there however i do know that his mother does. I gave the process server his phone number of his gf which he always calls me from. I asked him if he lives with his gf several times and will not answer me. if he does not get them what is my next step in showing dilligent search?



also, if they come back does emailing and looking in the phone book and making copies make the search dilligent enough? what point do i publish it in the news paper?

Yes, you have the idea. You should use 3 or 4 other ways to search - pretty much anything you can think of.

The clerk of court (in most jurisdictions) will place the ad. Ask them.
