If your case has been finalized then the parentingstatute in Florida applies to a move 50 miles or more. If your case has not been finalized but is pending you should not move more than 10 miles without the court's permission.

Question:
How far can a parent move without having to ask the other parent for permission? My ex will not agree to a move and I am aware of petitioning the court, but how far can I move without having to ask for his consent? We have shared responsibility with our daughter living primarily with me.

Does that 50 mile rule apply to where the other parent is located or from my residence? Currently the other parent resides nearly 50 miles and two counties away.
The 50 mile rule has no built in exceptions. But I doubt a judgewould prevent you from moving if your spouse is already out of the area.
