help!!! married after only a few months
My son is 19 and Dec 2009 he married a girl he only knew a few months. Ley lived in Fl and got married in Tennessee. In April we went to Fl to get him he left her for tons of reasons. They lived with her parents. She is pregnant and due Oct 21st 2010. She filed for divorce about a week after he left. He still has not been served the papers. What do we need to do? She has always lived in Fl and he was only there fron Oct to April. He wants to have the baby as much time as she does. Where do we start?

No divorce while pregnant
I am not an expert by any means, but he probably has not been served yet because you cannot get divorced while pregnant in Florida. After she has the baby, either let her re-file and serve your son, or if he files, have him do it in Florida. In this state, the parents are given equal custody (this is my understanding) unless there is a good reason for the mom to have the baby more often (i.e breastfeeding). They will have to go to a parenting
class/counseling session since they have a child, also. If your son wants to have an equal share of time, it would be best for him to live in Florida so he can be nearby. Since they lived there together and conceived the baby there, it is unlikely that a judge
will disagree. Again, this is all from personal research and experience with family divorces, so you will want to double check all of this. Good luck!

You should call a Tennessee attorney and discuss the case. It sounds like that would be the state having jurisdiction over his case.
