    Default No custody order

My husband and I have been living apart for the last two years. Our 7 year old has been in my care during the week and visits his Dad on the weekends.Recently I have been talking to him more and more about divorce and time sharing of our child....he refuses to sit down with a mediator. His behavior has become more erratic and so has his live in girlfriend's. I would like to know if I stop the weekend visitation until we have an agreement in place,is that legal? I am afraid that he may not return our child on Sunday( and we live in two different counties) our child attends school in my district.Thank you for your time.

If you interfere with his parentingicon time - it may backfire on you later. Although it is not illegal, it is risky.

Default my son is 16 and want's to come home

I live in Michigan and it is where this all began. He was placed with his father who moved him to Florida. ( I didn't know about the 100 mile rule, my fault) His Father was arrested for felony child abuse the Grandmother got him off (???????????) and also got my son who is now in Ohio. My son wants very badly to come home and it is a fight over texting to keep him there so things don't get worse for him I want him back so bad, but don't know how to fight 3 states at one time. What can I do and what hope can I give him
    Thank you for your time

First of all, I don't know about Michigan or Ohio Law or what it takes to get a divorce, I would seek legal advice in Michigan, as you are a resident and the marriage was last in tact in Michigan, that may the state to begin your fight. Is your son court ordered to be with the grandmother or she just has him. There definitley needs to be more information

first we were never married. I worked through most of my case plan that Fla. made up for us the Father did nothing on his. The Grandma has guardianship of my son. The texts from him would break your heart and he is frightened of her. The orders were put into place in 2006 and he is older now. I tried to save him from the last "knock down drag out" ( from the arrest records) But they Fla. CPS said I was putting words in his mouth. Hardly, I got a call in Mi form Fla. to ask what hospital to take my son to, how could I do that? now that he is older and the new laws is there a chance I have joint custody in Mi that should count for something right? Also thank you for your help. I fear for him as he has started to cut him self. Will they blame me for that too? I just want to see him smile

This is a complex situation that cannot be answered by a simple internet answer. You need to have a personal consult with an attorney.

The free booklet pretty much has the same info as our website. You should take some time and read through the many pages of info.
