If you are only arguing about child support, the case will definitely involve the DOR. The hearing will be conducted by a Child Support Hearing Officer, a special type of judge
in DOR cases.

My child supportcase is currently enforced through the FL DOR. My ex filed for a modification
through the DOR and I turned in the paperwork they required of me, but he never did. Now he has hired an attorney to handle the modification. I cannot afford an attorney, but with the modification through the DOR I have a case worker to advocate for me. In my response to his petition, can I request that the case not be handled civilly but through the DOR, since he initiated the request for a modification through that agency?
