There are logical arguments to be made for either side.
But according to current law, child supportcontinues regardless of the situation. The only way to change it is by court order.

My wife and I are going through a divorce at the moment. I am in the military and am currently stationed in San Diego while my wife is in Florida with our 2 daughters. They will be coming to stay with me for a month this summerso my question is, do I still have to pay child supportfor the month that I will have them and be taking care of them? To me and everybody I know it doesn't make sense that I would have to pay as I will have custody for the month. Thank you for your help in this matter.

child supportis calculated based on the amount of nights each parent has the children, daycare expense and who pays it, and medical insurance and who pays the premium. This is averaged throughout the year, so, If you have your majority parenting
time in one month, that is taken into consideration for the amount of child support.
You and your ex can agree to a specific child support amount for times like this in the future, but it can only legally be changed through a court order. If your payments are automatically deducted, they will show an arrearage, which could cause problems.
