No court order for visitation but my ex keeps harassing me.
My son's father has brought a paternity suit upon me and I cannot afford legal counsel at the moment. We are set for a Temporary Relief Hearing July 12, 2010. My ex has not been involved with the child for 3 years and now wants visitation. My question is that he keeps e-mailing me to have the two of us (he and I) sit down and talk but legally he has a lawyer representing him so I have not responded to any of his e-mails due to the fact that he has legal representation in the picture. My ex keeps e-mailing me to discuss getting back together and not to discuss the child. I am happily married and I feel that the lines of communication should be left to discuss the child only. I am unsure what to do about this. I don't know whether or not to respond by telling him that we will wait on the court order next month or to say nothing at all and just attend the hearing on a July 12, 2010?
Thank You!!!

You don't have to talk with him if you don't want to. Temporary relief hearings are really important. You should invest a relatively small amount of money to be prepped by an attorney. You can benefit from 1/2 hour of prep time.
And yes - it sounds inappropriate to discuss anything but the child. That is the only subject on the table for him to approach you about.
