    Exclamation alimony and children

so i am asking two questions for my friend. he is in the military and him and his soon to be ex wife have been married for 3 years and been separated for alittle over a year now. i am asking is there anyway she can recieve alimonyicon. she is only 28 and he is only 23. she doesnt work and hasnt for the past three years. she had been telling him she is going to get a job but just decided she isnt going to bc now she is getting child supporticon. she has no medicial problems nor does he. is there an chance a court will favor her?

also is there anyway he can go for custody and do something without having to get a lawyer. he just cant afford it right now but if he has to he will. everytime he goes and gets those kids they are always banged up and bruised really bad. recently his daughter just broke her leg because she wasnt watching her and she fell off a chair. ive worked with alot of kids and his kids are really bad off just by looking at them. his daughter barely eats. but when we are with them she eats like she is starving. she still has her in a rear facing seat and she is two. his two year old can barely talk and the same with his four year. he isnt potty trained or anything. ive seen kids behind for their age but this is the worst ive ever seen a kid so behind for their age. is there anything he can do to help get custody of his kids. she just up and left with them and now he cant get them into a healthy enviroment

alimonyicon is based on his ability to pay and her need basis, the courts also factor in the length of the marriage. Based on the length of their marriage, I would say it is very unlikely a court would grant any alimony. If they did, it would only be a temporary amount.

As for the children, he can bring up all these things in court in his case to win a majority of the parentingicon time. He doesn't need a lawyer, however, custody battles are never a good idea to fight without an attorney.

thank you. just wish he could afford an attorney right now. is there any other source for an attorney(like will they help in this situation/payment wise and things like that?) or anyother way to go about getting custody and getting them out of her home until he knows 100 percent safe??

There are some limited-help services available. The best thing to do would be to come in for a free initial consult.
