    Exclamation custody and visitation

the father and i have never been married and the child is 4 months old and has lived with me since he was born. he has abused me physically before but there is no proof. i am the mother of his second child and i want to know would i be able to get custody of our son and he only be able to have supervised visitation if i feel unsafe for me and my child.he just started paying child supporticon to me last month and is already on child support from the mother of his first child that is 3 but he never sees his first child at all.the other mother of his first child has never filed to take custody of her child because he doesn't bother her or even make an effort to see her child.is there a good chance that i may get granted custody if he has never shown effort to see his first child?

You need a really BIG reason to get supervised visitation. The courts do not like to do that.
