Default Am I entitled to alimony / how much child support do I pay if I'm unemployed

Hi, I have been divorced for 3 years now. I have been paying child supporticon, but have recently been laid off. I have been asked to appear before a judgeicon for not being able to make child support payments? The mother holds a steady job and has recently remarried. If I am unemployed can she be obligated to pay me alimonyicon? Thank you kindly for your time.

Onces the original divorce is over, you cannot ask for alimonyicon if there never was any alimony ordered. The issue is closed forever.

child supporticon is always modifiable. But you must file the correct paperwork. In your upcoming motion hearing, the judgeicon will not have the power to modify your child support. The hearing will be solely about enforcement issues.

The judge will weigh whether you are making efforts to find a job and will act accordingly.
