    Default Auto Insurance

    Ex is notorious for putting a dwon payment on auto insurance then letting it lapse. I am worried about my children being in an uninsured car with her. Is there any way I can find out if she is carrying insurance on her car?

    No easy way. You can always file a Motion and go to court asking that you receive a Certificate of Coverage. That way you would get a notice if a policy lapsed. That seems like a lot of trouble but it may be worth it to you.
