    Default Mediation No Show

    What are the sanctions imposed on a husband who does not show up for the Court ordered mediaiton ?


    he was given proper notice - he knows he is supposed to be there - but has told me he will not attend

    The court may enter an order of contempt. Possible outcomes:

    Attorney fees
    Sanctions
    Incarceration
    Etc.

    If attempts were made to reschedule the mediation but were not answered would a copy of the email that I sent to her office suffice as proof that I tried?

    It should.

    But my personal favorite is using a fax. Our fax machines produce a transmission confirmation sheet with a partial image of what was sent. That way there is no dispute the communication was sent and received.

    Or you can always use certified mail.
