Cohabitation~Rights of Mother and Child
I have been with Robert since 1999 (never married). In January of 2000, we purchased a home. Although he holds the mortgage (of which, I am not on the deed~dummy me, thinking that this was forever!), I helped monetarily to purchase this home. The utilities are in my name and I have been paying them since we "moved in together". He would not have been able to keep this home if it were not for my income. I have a son from a previous marriage, who has also been living with us, as well. I have contributed to this household like a domestic partner would. I cook, clean, buy groceries, etc. Robert has decided that he would like to "move on" and wants both my son and me to leave. This is my home. I have no means to "just leave" and find some other place to live. He believes I have no right to ask for some kind of compensation for our years together and for my contributions to the household. What are my rights as a domestic partner under Florida law?

Florida does not recognize cohabitation the way it used to many, many years ago. It would be wise for you to perhaps pursue this in a civil manner. I.E., if you had an agreement that you would provide domestic services in order to stay in the home, etc. The court does not recognize common law marriage in Florida.
