child support need help!!
HI I have a major problem my ex-husband is $10,00.00 behind in his child support
I do have a case open with dept of rev CSE and we have gone to court several times over the same issue, however the last time we went to court 8/5/10 he was found in contempt due to non-payment and he advised the hearing officer on our case that he could pay $25.00 on that day and then $1000.00 on 8/20/10 it was ordered for him to do that and I was not thrilled that is all they made him do in fact the hearing officer did not even seem to care and was very easy on my ex much to my dismay but my ex did not make the $25.00 payment on that day and has not paid the $1,000 that was due on 8/20/10 I know because I called the clerk and child support enforcement when I asked what would be done about this I keep getting the run around CSE says that the court will issue a warrant the clerk of court says no the hearing officer does this, the hearing officer's office said DSE does....this is in Hillsborough County FL I am so confused and don't know what is going on. I want to know just who is supposed to enforce the court when it seems like nobody wants to do anything but point to another person....I need this money my son has to go to the doctor and is on medication and I am hurting for money I work but my hours were cut back it's hard please help!!

If you have a family law case number (for divorce or paternity) then you can file a Rule to Show Cause or a Motion for Contempt. If you only have the DOR case going then you can send them a letter addressing this issue. It is extremely difficult to deal with CSE and much easier to deal with the family law court.
