    Default Denying Child

My daughter was with a young man for several years and they were engaged. During a 3 week break up she became pregnant. The 2 got back together and she let him know that the baby may not be his. He denied that possibility. He discussed it with me. They married. The baby was born, he signed the birth certificate and they lived together for a couple of years in bliss(?) or so I thought. Apparently the doubt became too much and he became a different person so my daughter left him (he had locked her in the house and taken the car keys. He was loosing it.) My parents had to come and rescue her. So fast forward... she has moved back to OH with us and he is denying any responsibility for the child. He wants to "help out when he wants to" but not take any financial responsibility. What does FL law say about this? OH, before she finally left FL he made her take the blood test and the baby is not his. He knew that might be true all along but we all hoped it was.

If she resides with the child in Ohio then she should contact an OH attorney regarding child supporticon. Until and if he denies paternity or does the appropriate legal action to remove his possibility of paternity then he is legally obligated to support this child.
