    Default Mom has disappeared!

Divorced now for over a year. 50/50 shared parentingicon but I have the boys more than she does. I am disabled but happy to have them as much as I can.

Last Thursday she was to pick them up from school and have them for the weekend but I had a strange feeling she wouldn't show up so went to the school and sat in the parking lot. She never showed up so I took the boys home and tried to call her cell phone. It was turned off.

Kept the boys all weekend and never heard a word from her. Took them to school Monday (still her day) and she never showed up after school to pick them up. Tried to call her a few more times but phone was still turned off.

Here it is Thursday and still no word from her. I have called her parents but they won't answer the phone. I tried to find out where she is from people that work with her and no one will tell me anything! I don't know what to do! I have a feeling she might be in Rehab because she has had a substance abuse problem but has sworn she is clean (otherwise I wouldn't let her have the boys).

So what would you suggest I do? If she has been in Rehab I'm not sure I want her to have the boys (7 & 9). She is a very unstable person. I have only a small income from disability so can't afford to go to a lawyer and have tried to get Legal Aid before with no luck.

Any suggestions? Could I ask a deputy to escort me to her parents house and find out what is going on? She has lived with them since we separated and I know they must know where she is. What are my rights to knowing where she is?

She is a single adult - so your rights are minimal to zero.

This sounds like possible sufficient grounds for a modificationicon of your last final order. In that modification you may be able to set certain limits. If you have some evidence of drug addiction, you may be able to get an expedited or emergency limitation.
