    Question What can I do?

I left Ky with my children and came to Fla with my children where my family is because of problems with their father.I moved there in 02 my youngest was born there.I have never filed anything against him in the ten yrs we have been married. The lawyer I spoke to said I had every right to leave with my children. He filed an EPO on me and filed for custody of the children. On the online court records it has Domestic Violence which I assume goes along with the epo.I never did anything.I have not been served as of two court dates that passed.I let him speak to the children but will not tell him where I am cause he has a temper.I tried to get my children enrolled in school but my husband in ky says that the old school called him and told him that they wouldnt send their transcripts because in ky he has sole custody! I have not been to court nor been served.I have been completely polite to him.I feel horrible for leaving but I felt I had no choice. He was threatening me and I had no family(all his) or friends(he alienated them all) to turn to. Now I fear if I get served I Will have to go back to ky and lose my children. He tells me horrible things will happen. What can I do? I wont make it back to Fla.

You really need to have an attorney look for and review your documents from KY. Based on what you said, the State of Florida should have been the only jurisdiction to decided children's issues. It is entirely possible this situation can be straightened out and you can stay in Florida without worry.
