alimony- chances are slim to none. The marriage is too short for the court to consider alimony.
House - that may end up being yours, including the negative equity. Not enough info here for me to guess properly.

I am in the process of starting divorse proceedings. My wife of less than two years has decided to move out. I have 2 big questiosn
1. alimony- we have had a very tough year financially, I lost my job and have basically lost everything. I am now employed again at 60K down from 100K. My wife lost her job from 35K now at a part time job at 17K. She has a child from her previous marriage. She could easily get another job but does not put the effort in. What are the chances she would get alimony
2. The house and other debt. I purchased the home from my wife just prior to marriage to save the home from forclosure. Unforntunately the home is now 60K upside down. I know that home equity must be split 50 50 but what about home negitive equity? Would she be responsible for 50% of that?
Thanks for any feedback
