Florida father - HELP!

Since our divorce (in 2001), my x-wife has, at every turn, alienated my children from me. At this point, both children refuse to have anything to do with me and my 17 year old son sends me hateful text messages calling me every name in the book. He has now quit school, works a day job (lawn maintenance), and spends his nights smoking pot. I have TRIED AND TRIED to get the X to allow me to be an active father but she completely refuses to cooperate - has since day one (note: I didn't divorce her - she divorced me to marry another man). So, my kids hate me and want nothing to do with me and my x completely disregards me.

I'm fed up! I pay over $1400 per month in child support for this?!?! Two hateful kids and a dirt-bag mother that is now dating an unemployed convicted felon.

Here's the question: Is there ANYTHING that I can do to get free of these people that completely hate me but gladly take my money every month? Is there any way to convince the court to release me of ALL obligations to these people? Besides the money, I do not want to be held responsible for anything these kids do (or don't do). I have no control over them but I CAN be held responsible (so I'm told) since (on paper) I have joint custody.

Sorry, but the answer is a definite no.

But the positive side: it sounds like the torture is almost over. And once the kids become adults you can work on patching up your relationship with them.
