Default proof of life insurance to secure alimony

I am 2 years post divorce after a 25 year marriage. I was awarded alimonyicon through mediation, requiring the ex spouse to maintain life insurance, listing me as the minimum sole beneficiary in the amount of $500,000 When trying to acquire proof of such insurance, the ex sent to a third party, a faxed, scanned blackened out insurance form with my name handwritten in, asking them to forward it to me. There are 4 other blackened names and amounts listed before me. I have asked for further proof to no avail, as has my attorney. I am now in a position where I must decide if this documentation is sufficient, or if I should pursue further documentation through the court. I do not want the judgeicon to view this as a frivolous law suit. I will also add that my ex-spouse is a FL lawyer...Please advise!!! Thank you

I do not think your suspicion is frivolous. Certificates of coverage are normally clear, typed, and easy to read. Just make sure you document your "good faith" requests for proper documentation. Ask for the insurance agent and call them if possible.

You are in your rights to demand proper compliance with the judgment. If your ex is an attorney, they have an additional duty not to commit fraud on the court. That could invite other consequences.
