    Default Not Dead-Beat Dad

Good day, I hope you can point us in the right direction about spousal support. My brother has custody of three children (one learning disabled); works part-time, receives food stamps and the wife has abandoned the home. The children are not hers. She works as a licensed cosmetologist. Would he be required to use his child's benefits check and his meager part-time income to pay her spousal support in the event of a divorce?

Thank you in advance for any guidance you may offer in this situation.

There are a lot of factors that go into the alimonyicon decision.

But my gut feeling here is that alimony will not exist in his case.
