    Default Greencard ??

My Friend: Male over 60 married ex wife for green card. Daughter is sponsor of mom. The marriage in not consummated. He was living with a relative, but is now renting a room in a house owned by a woman. He would like to get a divorce, but thinks the laws in Florida will favor his current wife. Is this true? Can he not file an annulment?
    Marriage length 2-3 years long.

Be careful about putting information like that on a public forum, it is a crime in the State of Florida to marry someone just to get a green card. The State of Florida does not provide for annulments in that scenario. It is extremely difficult to get an annulment in that situation without opening the door to prosecution. He can apply for a divorce and if the Wife is in agreement then they can file an Uncontested Dissolution of Marriage.

In reference to green-card. He was advised by his wife's immigration attorney to get married.
