Do we have to follow the agreement exactly??

My divorce was final in October. We based the section related to taxes in our agreement on the fact that I didn't have a job yet, and didn't think I'd be getting one for quite a while. I got a good job about the week everything was final, and now we realize that if we file as we indicated in the agreement, it's going to bite us. Do we have the freedom to move outside that agreement with regard to filing taxes if we both agree, or are we bound by that because it's signed by a judge?

The two of you are free to agree to go outside the divorce decree. As long as you both give the thumbs up there will be no consequences to worry about.
