Child Support husband signed paper to give up rights
My girlfriend had her son's father sign a paper in front of a notary saying that he was giving up his parental rights but would still support the child. We just went and gave the child support
people in our town in florida a copy of that paper. Wondering if we made a mistake, will he still have to pay child support even though he signed that paper? Also the child was born in california and they were processing a child support case and told her she could leave, they decided what the guideline was going to be for what he had to pay but it had not been fully processed. Let me know if you need more information.

Florida will not allow a parent to purposely give up parental rights. So there is nothing to worry about.
