    Default Mrs.

My husband and I have been married now for seven years. We cohabit for seven years prior to our marriage. We purchased a home together prior to our marriage. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to attend the closing. Therefore my name was not added to the deed. Now that I want a divorce, he reminds me that my name is not on the deed and that I'm entitled to nothing. Is this true? Are other factors involved? Desperate please help. I have no where to go, or to take my pets.

There are various factors, including whether you supplied any of the down payment, and the amount of appreciation during the marriage.

So ... you are not as out of luck as your spouse seems to think.
