Default how do I go about making a witness list for court?

I have court next month and I have people who want to go to court on my behalf. Do I need to file a witness list for them to be able to speak? Also, how do I set one up if needed?
I was also wondering if I could get him abandonment (sp) ? I have a letter from WIC in another state. It states when he left in Jan. 2010 he left both children with me, he took the car, food stamp card, WIC checks everything needed to provide food for our children. This woman from WIC came into my apartment and dropped off four cans of formula. In the letter, it states the reason came (stated above) and that the children were clean, the house was clean, and that I was making dinner when she arrived.
How do I get this into evidence?

Depends on what type of hearing this is. For trials, you need a witness list. But it cannot hurt to file one.

Just file a Notice of Witness list and show all of the names.

On the last question - you present it through your own testimony. In other words: Tell it like it is.
