    Default 16 years and counting....

i was married by civil rights in broward county last aug. 1991,my husband and i have been separated for 16 years now. we haven't had any communication. we have a daughter who is already 18 yrs old. no child supporticon was given and i didn't ask for it. is there a florida law that allows a divorce due to the length of period with no communication? can i re-marry? i am no longer living in the US.
    thank you.

There is no automatic divorce. You must file a case and appear before a judgeicon.

You may qualify for a divorce in the country where you reside.

---thank you for your reply. the philippines do not have divorce though, there's only annulment and it takes years to have it granted.
