    Default Final Hearing

So, I had my final hearing - finally!

    However,

I was not allowed to cross examine the other party and I had hard evidence that could disprove just about everything he said during his testimony

I asked the GM if I would have the chance to cross examine and he said yes - but then ended the hearig without giving me that opportunity

Also, I had filed a Motion for Contempt that was to be heard before the final hearing started and the GM refused to hear my motion - what recourse do I have?

    Thanks in advance

You have ten days after the final hearing to file a Motion for Reconsideration in order to ask the court for a new hearing. You also may have an appeal issue. This is an extremely time sensitive issue and you may want to contact an attorney immediately in person to discuss your options

Thanks so much for your quick answer - I have ten days after I recieve the Recommendation - is that right?

The hearing was March 16th but I do not have the recommendation yet - is it 10 days from the 16th or ten days from the date of the recommendation?

P.S. Is that normal for someone to not have their motions heard and to not be able to cross examine the other party?

You should have had the right to cross examine.

Because this is such a time critical situation, you really need to have an attorney look at this - immediately.
