    Default Parenting Class Refusal

I am the petitioner, my divorce was filed Pro Se. Both parties signed the divorce paperwork. As you are aware Florida required both parents to complete a state certified parentingicon class. My spouse refuses to take the class. How will the court response to this? Will the final judgment be denied if he does not take the class? Will he be ordered to take the class since he signed the divorce paper. Any assistance you can provide is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Every judgeicon is different. Some will enter judgment but restrict the other person's parentingicon time till the course is completed. Some jurisdictions may send the parent to jail for the weekend. Some will refuse to enter judgment, but hold the parent in contempt of court.

Any way you have it, it is not good news for the parent not in compliance.
