    Default Soon to be Ex, lives out of state

    I have several questions - Husband and I married in 97' but he was in prison and released in 06' but I moved to FL in 03' so we never had a chance to live together. Long story short he did put me in debt that I had to file bankrupt. We both want the divorce but does he have to be here to see the judgeicon and can I go after him for alimonyicon or a get some payment back for everything I lost and had to pay out of my pocket. Due to I am on a budget I am trying to see if I can do this myself.

    It does not sound like you could successfully fight for alimonyicon. And even if you could - my guess is the Florida courts would have no jurisdiction to order it.

    If you filed bankruptcy you should not have any debt.

    You may want to consider the simple route - just get a divorce.
