    Default Court ordered drug tests

I am trying to file for what they call a "parentingicon plan" now but I don't want something so severe as Supervised visitation (safety version but facility supervision is way creepy). My ex has struggled with drugs since I was pregnant with our daughter. We have been back and forth with him having private visitation (all of it privately contacted none court involved). Last November, all of her things came home smelling like weed (she was 2 at the time). Since then, I have not allowed her to be privately with her. He comes to our house for visitation and we are finally getting things done legally. Mainly b/c he wants to fight for his visitation back.

The POINT- He has multiple drug related charges on his record (possession etc) but none are full convictions. He has gotten off of them bc of technicalities or by pleading to lessser charges. When her things came home smelling of weed I actually pulled over a police officer who agreed with my suspicion and suggested that I give a narc tip and file a child abuse case. I did both but have heard nothing of it. I guess my question is.. How much evidence is needed to be awarded court ordered drug tests in this visitation/custody battle. I can't handle the idea that my daughter will be in a house of drugs, he may have them on him, with him, roomates have them... i dunno... I'm going nuts and I'll never forgive myself if something happens to her b/c the courts made me give her to him.

You can contact child protective servicesicon through DCF to have them investigate the living condition that the Father lives in and whether it is safe for the child to be there. While you are going through the legal process make sure to specify whether you believe it is safe for the child to have overnight time sharing etc. with Dad and why.

    Default unfit parenting

Thank you, I'll be sure to mention at every chance. So, he left today from visiting her this week and she is sunburnt head to toe. I swear everytime he has her he makes a bad decision. This time it was no helmet on the adult bike with her on back, allowing a 3 yr little girl to watch TIN MAN (people stab kill and shoot each other in) and the sunburn. Now to a typical parent one would see him as completely irresponsible but does the court care about small things like this? or do they need to be in life danger for the court to care?

Sunburn and an inappropriate movie are not enough - in themselves.
