    Default Need Information

Hi! I want to know if I am eligible for alimonyicon from my husband who makes more than me. What kind of support financially I can get from him? Will it be for specific period of time till I am financially able? I do have a full-time job with benefits but doesn't pay me enough.
We have been married for 7 years and I have been residing in US for the last 7.5 years. We don't have children. I haven't yet filed for citizenship though I can as I have my permanent green card. My husband is a US citizen and I got married in the state of Florida and have been residing in Florida since then.
    Any information is appreciated.
    Thanks
    Seema

Your marriage is considered a short term marriage (under 10 years) in the State of Florida and you are not entitled to permanent alimonyicon. As you have a job it is unlikely that you will receive alimony. You may qualify for temporary (until the divorce is finalized) support or durational (less than the number of years of marriage) support. You should speak with an attorney to get a more definite answer after a consultation.
