    Exclamation Custody and childcare

If the custody case for our son has a continuation date set for August, can his daycare legally stop me from picking him up? What documents should I bring with me in case they try?

It is a paternity/custody case, but I'm the mother actually. I'm currently enrolled in a homeless prevention program where they also help women leaving a DV home so they do not want the address given out. I was attempting to restart a 50/50 share but now his father is refusing and says I can only see our son under his or his girlfriend's supervision.

If you are the Mom, you have rights - unless there is a court order preventing the pickup.

Bring a copy of the birth certificate along with personal id

    Thank you.

If I have attempted to get my son's father in contact with the program managers to explain why I am not allowed to give him the address of the location of where I am staying and he refuses, and now the program managers are no longer willing to contact him, or his lawyer, themselves, can he legally deny me from keeping our son for an over night stay? And if not, how do I enact an over night stay without having to worry about his father attempting to file a kidnapping charge? (sorry for all these questions, this is a recent development and I haven't been able to see my son for a month due to various reasons)

You cannot kidnap your own child. The police would not intervene.
