abought alimony

In my divorce my exwife and I agreed on a set amount of alimony for a period of 1 year. A month after the divorce became finle she has moved out of state and remarried; my question is now that she is remarried do I have to keep paying or does it stop. Thanks for any advice

Depends on the exact language of the agreement. In most situations, alimony would immediately terminate.

It reads, petitioner shall pay respondent directly without going throught the depository,$125.00 rehabilitative alimony from April 1, 2011 to April 1, 2012.

If that is all it says, alimony should terminate. You should have an attorney do a full reading and opinion on the final judgement.
