    Default Child Support question

Today I received a notice of intent to levy, freezing my Roth IRA. It references back pay child supporticon in the amount of 2900$. I have been paying child support via payroll dedcution since 1998. I guess my daughters mom requested an increase, of thats fine. My question is that since Dec 2010, I have been voluntarily paying additional money per month to the tune of now 2600$ for past 16 months ( via paypal) adding to my monthly deducted amount. I have requested a informal conference with the FloridaChild Support Agency in which I will show proof of these payments. WIll this be taken into consideration & reduce my back pay to 400$ ?. I was never notified that my support would increase, infact the last time it did increase I received a letter from my accounting office stating the increase would go into affect on a certain date & that was all, this time nothing. If they tell me that all of additional paymenst will not count for anything I will be highly upset. I pay this additional $ per month, plus buy school clothes, fund vacations, summer camps etc.

Your additional payments definitely count. Were you paying the state disbursement unit?
