    Unhappy child visitation

    Hi there, i have 1 question.... how long does it take for me to see my child legally, i had a son with my girlfriend, we werent married and i am not on the birth certificate, so i have to prove dna and then file for visitation rights... how long would this procedure take ? 6 months a year 2 years ??? pls help

    You will need to file a Petition for Determination of Paternity and Other Relief. There is no set time limit on how long until your case is complete. If you and the mother agree on all issues including child supporticon, parental responsibility, and a parentingicon / time-sharing plan, the case should move rather quickly.

    Thank you for your response, The mother of my child stated that if i take her to court i will never see my child ( i see him twice a month now ) and that no court in the world will let me get my child and stay with me overnight or take the child to a park or see my family for example. is that true what she is saying ? even if i take her to court will it be a waste of time, and will i always have to wait every 2 weeks to see my child ?
