If there is an order in place for support, and he has support arrears - yes, he still owes them.
He need to file a court case to terminate support.
My husband is disabled and has not been able to work for 5 yrs.and has no income. His ex-wife filed child support5 yrs. ago. His son has turned 18 yrs of age this year. He quit school at the age of 16 and never went back. Also son does not have a G.E.D and no job. Is my husband required to pay all of child support, if any, due to his not being able to work and also due to his son quitting school? I am a very concerned wife because I have to file income tax return married but filing separate to keep her from getting any of my tax refund due to their child support issues.

Thank you very much for your input. I have been trying to get him to do this but he refuses. Denial is not a good thing. Again thanks much.![]()
