You probably have no claim to alimony. Only biological or adoptive parents may be ordered to pay child support
.
I was married three years ago. I quit my job, gave up my home, and moved two hours away from my family. I am a full time student who received financial aid before I married, but lost it once I was married. We have no children together and no shared assets. However, during tax season, my spouse claims myself and my two children from a previous marriage and he receives a significant amount in returns from that (none of which is given to me...only deposited into his account). Other than going to school, I also am a homemaker. The only income I receive is from child support. Am I entitled to anything? Can I get alimony
? What are my rights?
