I have been married 20 years. We have 2 children ages 15 and 16. My immediate concern is if i will lose custody of my son if i move out and leave him. I am not leaving him by choice. He wants to stay with his father. We have had years of turmoil and it has escalated to the point where we cannot speak for 2 minutes with it turning into a full blown argument. This turmoil has been going on since Nov 2010. He cheats on me, goes on whenever he wants, treats me bad, yells at me, threatens me, and as of late tells me to just leave. I am looking for an apt b/c i just want to get out. there is so much tension in this house i am uncomfortable to even eat. If I leave with my daughter and my son refuses to leave with me, how will this affect me and maintaining custody. Or should i force him to come, tell him there is no choice. Thank you.
